I’ve been pointing a camera at the world my whole life. But for decades, that passion took a back seat — because when you’re serving your country, the mission comes first.
When I finally had the time and the tools to really invest in photography, I found my way to the Colorado Photographic Arts Center’s Veterans Program. They didn’t teach me to take pictures. They pulled back the curtain and showed me what I’d already been doing all along: telling stories.
My photography doesn’t follow a single genre because I don’t live a single-genre life. Traveling in my RV, I shoot whatever earns my attention — a stranger who doesn’t know I’m watching, a back alley lit like a painting, a landscape that made me stop the truck and get out. I’m not looking for the popular shot. I’m looking for the true one. https://cpacphoto.org/

I While I still enjoy capturing the familiar, I seek those places and moments and places that few may ever see. My love of exploring new places drives my desire and passion to create new art.

My lens gravitates toward the raw, unposed humanity of strangers, freezing their stories in a single frame. Off the beaten path, I find authenticity, where every photograph becomes a fragment of a larger, ever-unfolding narrative of connection and discovery.
